Career planning starts day one
Learn about your future by attending Fulton Career Exploration Nights. Conduct casual informational interviews with people who have the kind of jobs you want and juniors/seniors student leaders. This is your chance to get inside information about what you can do in college to get to where they are now.
First Year Students
You don’t need to pre-register or dress up, come as you are. If possible, leave your skateboards and backpacks at home, otherwise you can carry them.
Bring your Sun Card to check-in and get your name tag once BEFORE you go into the rooms.
Bring your Career Exploration Night 2018 workbook and and pen. Here’s last year’s Career Exploration Night 2017 Workbook.
Watch the Get Ready for Career Exploration Night video to understand to event.
For the Tempe event: Print the 2nd floor Memorial Union (MU) diagram to find the neighborhood rooms associated with your school, major and interests. If a guest is bringing a display it will be on a perimeter table. Guests with or without displays will be at the round tables and other places in the neighborhood. Some guests might decide to join their colleagues in a neighborhood other than the one they originally indicated. Once in your neighborhood, look at the guests’ ribbons to see if they are from your major and interests. Some people may be located in different neighborhood rooms, so feel free to go to another neighborhood to find them. Some employers will arrive late (most should arrive by 5:30) and some will leave early, but in years past most stay until the end. We have volunteers with name badges so you can ask them for help.
For the Polytechnic Event: All guests are in the Sun Devil Fitness Center either at a round table or at the perimeter. If a guest is bringing a display it will be on a perimeter table. Look at the guests’ ribbons to see if they are from your major and interests. Some employers will arrive late (most should arrive by 5:30) and some will leave early, but in years past most stay until the end. We have volunteers with name badges so you can ask them for help.
